CBE ID2020
Percentage of adult (age 18 and older) U.S. population that currently smoke.
This measure is for the risk-adjusted Standardized Infection Ratio (SIR) for all Surgical Site Infections (SSI) following breast procedures conducted at ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) among adult patients (ages 18 - 108 years) and reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). The measure compares the reported number of surgical site infections observed at an ASC with a predicted value based on nationally aggregated data.
Facility adjusted Standardized Infection Ratio (SIR) and Adjusted Ranking Metric (ARM) for deep incisional and organ/space Surgical Site Infections (SSI) at the primary incision site among adult patients aged >= 18 years as reported through the CDC National Health and Safety Network (NHSN).
The Appropriate Treatment for Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) measure assesses whether members 3 months of age and older with a diagnosis of upper respiratory infection were not dispensed an antibiotic prescription. The measure includes patients enrolled in commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare health plans.
The percentage of episodes for members ages 3 months and older with a diagnosis of acute bronchitis/bronchiolitis that did not result in an antibiotic dispensing event.
Percentage of infants born to hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg)-positive mothers who receive a birth dose of hepatitis B virus (HBV) vaccine and hepatitis B immune globulin (HBIG)
Annual standardized infection ratio (SIR) of bloodstream infections (BSIs) among children and adults receiving maintenance hemodialysis at outpatient hemodialysis facilities. BSIs are defined as positive blood cultures for hemodialysis patients which are reported monthly by participating facilities. The SIR is reported for a yearly period (calendar year) and is calculated by dividing the number of observed BSIs by the number of predicted BSIs during the year.
Percentage of adults 18 years old or older with valid BMI documentation in the past 24 month.
Standardized infection ratio (SIR) and Adjusted Ranking Metric (ARM) of hospital-onset CDI Laboratory-identified events (LabID events) among all inpatients in the facility, excluding well-baby nurseries and neonatal intensive care units (NICUs).
Age and gender specific calculation of BMI based on parent reported height and weight of child. The measure uses CDC BMI-for-age guidelines in attributing overweight status (85th percentile up to 94th percentile) and obesity status (95th percentile and above).
